  • WSC assisted the Commonwealth of Virginia in developing a statewide plan for designing, implementing, sustaining, and marketing career pathways. The strategic plan, requested by Governor Timothy Kaine, is the product of deliberations of a multi-agency task force representing all levels of education, workforce development, and economic development, and input from a select group of key businesses, policymakers, and practitioners. Bridging Business and Education for the 21st Century Workforce: A Strategic Plan for Virginia’s Career Pathways System was released in December 2008.

  • WSC is assisting Workforce Solutions Upper Rio Grande and the City of El Paso in the creation of a collaborative regional workforce strategic plan to bring economic opportunities to the growing population and changing economic base of the Upper Rio Grande Workforce Development Area. The plan will be a catalyst for fostering change and increasing alignment of resources among educational systems, workforce development and economic development agencies, government, and business.
